Dumfries and Galloway

Wigtown's reputation as Scotland's National Book Town draws visitors year-round to browse independent bookshops, galleries and cafés dotted throughout the village. The Beltie Flat sits at the heart of it all, positioned above a working coffee shop with direct access to the high street. Beyond the bookshops, the surrounding countryside offers coastal walks and the wider Galloway landscape for exploration.
The apartment occupies two floors and sleeps two. Downstairs holds a living room with wood-burning stove and Smart TV, a kitchen with electric cooking, dishwasher and air fryer, plus a walk-in shower room and utility room with washing machine. Upstairs is a single king-size bedroom. The private rear garden has a bench and small table. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; fuel for the wood-burner is provided initially, with more available locally. Parking is free and plentiful on the road outside. The property is non-smoking.
The village hosts the annual Wigtown Book Festival alongside regular markets and year-round cultural events. A pub sits within a mile. The flat works well for couples wanting a base to explore the town and surrounding countryside without the commitment of a larger property.
