Hill View

Dumfries and Galloway draws walkers, cyclists and water sports enthusiasts to its coastline, forests and moorland. Hill View is a three-bedroom cottage on the owners' grounds, offering a self-contained base with parking for two cars and a private garden with woodland views. The single-storey layout contains an open-plan living space with a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch, a sitting area with a woodburner, and a utility room with washing and drying facilities. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included.

The three bedrooms sleep six: a kingsize, a double, and two singles. There is one shower room. The sitting-out area has garden furniture for taking in the surroundings. The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are about a mile away. No smoking throughout the property.

This part of south-west Scotland is known for sandy beaches, rocky coves and small villages within short reach. The 7 Stanes mountain biking centre at Dalbeattie is close by, while Galloway Forest Park and the Galloway Hills offer walking routes and wildlife spotting. Golfers, riders and fishers are well catered for in the region.
