Landberrick Farm Bothy 2
Dumfries and Galloway
View on Google MapsSouthwest Scotland's quiet countryside around Dumfries and Galloway draws walkers, coastal explorers and families looking for space to breathe. Landberrick Farm Bothy 2 is a converted stone building on working farmland, giving you that sense of being properly away while staying close to the Machars Peninsula and its villages. The whole place is yours alone.
Downstairs is open-plan living and cooking: a wood-burning stove, smart TV, and a kitchen with electric hob, dishwasher and the basics for actual cooking rather than heating. Glass doors open onto a patio. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a shower room. Everything you need for four people to be comfortable for a week is here: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi all included, plus logs for the stove. There's parking for two cars and a bike store. No smoking indoors.
The Bronze Age cup and ring marks at Drumtroddan are within reach for a morning walk, and the coast at Luce Bay isn't far. This suits people who want to cook their own meals, sit by the fire in the evenings, and have actual quiet around them.
