Mid Bishopton Farm Cottages - Cotters Cottage
Dumfries and Galloway
View on Google MapsFamilies and couples looking for a base to explore southwest Scotland will find Cotters Cottage useful. The property sits on a working farm in Dumfries and Galloway, placing you within reach of the Galloway Hills, forest walks, lochs and a coastline scattered with sandy beaches and small villages. The area draws walkers and birdwatchers; Wigtown Bay nature reserve, three miles away, hosts significant numbers of wintering geese and wading birds. The Mull of Galloway lighthouse, the country's southernmost point, stands fifteen miles or so south.
Everything is on the ground floor. Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower. A kitchen with electric cooker and microwave leads to a dining and living space with a woodburner and television. The cottage comes with wifi, heating, bed linen and towels. Outside, an enclosed garden with furniture surrounds a four-person hot tub. One dog stays free, though must be kept on lead given the farm setting. A shop is a mile away; a pub and restaurant are three miles off. The nearest beach is three miles' drive.
