Sand View is a single-storey detached bungalow, completely refurbished in 2021. Everything happens on the ground floor: a living and dining room opening into a conservatory, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), and a shower room. The conservatory is the standout feature – it frames uninterrupted views across the Solway Firth towards the Lake District hills. You have parking for two cars on site, and an enclosed garden with seating area outside.
The property sleeps six and sits in Southerness, a coastal village in Dumfries and Galloway. The beach is 20 yards away; a shop is 50 yards; a pub and restaurant are five minutes' walk. From here you can explore the lighthouse (built in 1749), walk cliff-top paths, visit coves and forest trails, or play the championship golf course. The essentials – heating, electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels – are included. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
