Wavecrest

Wavecrest is a detached bungalow on the Solway Firth coast, ground-floor throughout with direct beach access. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms—one double and two singles—with a shower room, and sits within yards of the shoreline near Southerness. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric oven and hob, and opens to a living and dining area; a conservatory extends the space further. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, and one dog stays free of charge.

What you get is a properly provisioned home for the time being: a washing machine, parking for two cars, a bike store, garden furniture on a sitting-out area, and a welcome pack on arrival. The village sits close by—a shop within 50 yards and a pub and restaurant about five minutes' walk. Southerness Lighthouse, built in 1749, stands as a local landmark; the championship golf course and various cliff-top walks are within easy reach, and the wider region offers beaches, forest trails and historic sites throughout Dumfries and Galloway. This is a no-smoking property.
