About Thurston Manor Leisure Park
Tucked into peaceful countryside near Dunbar, Thurston Manor Leisure Park wins praise for its genuinely helpful staff and extensive facilities. The indoor heated pool is a highlight, alongside a spacious playground and jacuzzi – plenty to keep families occupied between coastal excursions. Lodges come well-equipped, and touring pitchers can choose between grass pitches (electric or tent-only) and fully serviced hardstanding plots.
While the setting feels beautifully secluded, some visitors note that certain caravans show their age and could benefit from better upkeep. Still, the warm welcome and solid amenities make this a reliably family-friendly base for exploring East Lothian's beaches and historic towns, with Edinburgh easily reachable for day trips.

What visitors say
Came on a weekend away with our touring caravan, The toilet shower block was not what you can say clean so never used the facilities as would not even let our dog use them Went out for dinner at the clubhouse food was cold and we got meals at different times had offer on that you get 2 for £25. only to be told that you need a voucher never got told off a voucher when arrived and nothing on the advert to say you need one this is miss leading and faulted advertising. Drinks at bar not very pleasant coke was too sickly and mi was all off as for the beer was mediocar. Would not recommend to my friends or family to come with there own van Heard very good things regarding this place my opinion avoid

We were a party of 2 couples plus a dog in a pet friendly caravan. The caravan was modern, spacious and very clean. It was well equipped (although having just 4 of everything such as forks, plates, cups etc was a bit limiting at times), and had a generous fridge freezer, so we could easily store enough provisions for our week's holiday. It's a beautiful, well maintained park with on site restaurant serving freshly made food, and a venue where we played bingo on Saturday night. A special mention for the brilliant staff at the on site pool who were always friendly and helpful, who gave us a wee induction about the facilities (jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, lockers, showers) and they made sure we had everythingwe needed. They were constantly clearing and cleaning the shower areas and walkways, ensuring the lockers and changing rooms were spotless at all times - spotless! They were also attentive to all the bathers at all times, making sure children and adults alike adhered to all the rules regarding the use of the facilities. This allowed everyone to just relax and enjoy - a mini spa experience for grown ups and safe fun pool time for kids. Ideal! All of the staff we encountered at Thurston Manor were friendly and helpful and it seemed everyone wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend for a friendly, inexpensive, relaxing holiday and we'd definitely go back again.

Great holiday park with a range of caravans, lodges and glamping pods all various sizes. The bar and restaurant staff were fantastic as were the reception staff. The prices in the bar are a bit much and the food although looked lovely was too much on the plate, maybe do small portions which would encourage the older clientele to use it more and have some sort of happy hour (although hard to get round Scottish laws on drink) this might encourage more people into the club. I have been a few times to the site so I have seen a lot of changes over the years mainly for the better. All in all I had a great wee holiday made even better by the lovely weather we had, we will be back.

Great family holiday park. Loads of entertainment for kiddies and adults. Restaurant was busy, but service was quick and the food excellent and decent price. The separate pub was great for watching sport. Accommodation was all the way from caravans, to lodges, to cottages. There was also touring pitches and camping available. We will return later in the summer with family. Our new go to with Bob the Campervan.
