Family-run touring park at Kilmun, a few miles from Dunoon
About Cot House Caravan Park
Cot House Caravan Park occupies a quiet, rural spot on the shore of the Holy Loch at Kilmun, a few miles north of Dunoon on the Cowal Peninsula. This small, family-run site welcomes tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans across a mix of hardstanding and grass pitches, and operates year-round rather than closing over winter. Modern toilet and shower blocks serve the touring pitches, which come with electric hookups, and the modest scale helps keep things peaceful even during busier periods.
Kilmun's arboretum and historic church are within easy walking distance, while Dunoon itself is a ten-minute drive south for shops, restaurants and the museum. The park makes a practical base for exploring Benmore Botanic Garden, Puck's Glen and the wider Argyll Forest Park, with the villages around the former Holy Loch submarine base close by. It's a straightforward, longstanding choice for families and repeat visitors exploring the peninsula.

What visitors say
Went for a long weekend away with the fella. Wasn't sure what to expect with it being last minute but very pleasantly surprised.\\nThe manager (I want to say Sandra, sorry if that's wrong) was a delight and nothing was too much to ask.\\nReally good location for exploring the local area and lochs. Only a short trip into Dunoon.\\nThe site and facilities were all clean and well maintained, and all of the staff we met were lovely. Would definitely visit again!

We had a wonderful 1 night stay here. The lovely lady who welcomed us was very helpful (I'm embarrassed that I forgot her name) and everyone we came across was kind and friendly.\\n\\nCot House Caravan Park had all we needed: a nice space for our motorhome, electricity and tidy bathrooms. Quick wee drive away from Benmore Botanical Gardens which are absolutely stunning and Dunoon with its charming little village. We definitely want to come here again. Well priced too. Would highly recommend.

We had rented the 3 sheds. Issues with locks. Fridge smelly, very unpleasant and unable to put food in it. When speaking with the manager I found her to be rude. Challenging and saying one thing and doing another. Offered a refund of the shed. Then going straight back on it. Since we had to remain there as we had no where else to go. Travelled from Perth. Been at the Cowal games and came back drenched with no power. 2 young kids with us too. She gave us a caravan. Which should have been offered to us at the beginning. £425 we paid. I found her attitude disgusting. Then to hear her bitching to other caravan guests. All other staff were lovely. This has put all of us off coming back. I feel sorry for her staff. Shame because the location is lovely.

We were very unlucky septic tank had an issue and the contractors sent to fix it decided to pump sewage effluent over the area where 3 others where camped so I woke up to a brown pool of liquid which of course stank, contractor said he didn't have enough pipe ,duuh get some more. The site manager was a apologetical as you can get under the circumstances, stayed our one night and got money back for the booked night and moved onto the secret glen.
