Bowlees Holiday Cottages - Durham Cottage

Durham Cottage is a four-bedroom property sleeping eight, part of Bowlees Holiday Cottages near Bishop Auckland. The whole place is yours alone, with a private hot tub in the garden. Guests also have use of shared on-site facilities: a heated indoor swimming pool measuring 9m by 5m, a games room with a full-size snooker table, and a sauna. The grounds span 50 acres of natural landscape, with patio seating and furniture outside.

The ground floor has an open-plan living and dining space with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for self-catering, and a bedroom with bunks and a single bed served by a wet room. Upstairs are three more bedrooms—one double and two with single beds—plus a bathroom with a bath. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; the woodburner uses fuel that can be purchased separately. The property has private parking for two cars and wheelchair access, though there are steps within the grounds and a lake nearby. One small pet is welcome.

The location puts you within reach of High Force waterfall and Beamish open air museum, or you can simply stay put and use what's on site. The on-site facilities operate from 10am to 10pm daily.
