The surrounding 60 acres of natural grounds offer space to explore, with fishing available on-site (a licence is needed). Durham itself is within reach for days out, and the countryside here draws walkers and families looking for a proper break from routine.

This detached property has six bedrooms and five bathrooms across three floors, sleeping up to 19 people. The ground floor includes a living room with a wood-burning stove, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch. Upstairs are four further bedrooms, most with ensuite bathrooms. The top floor has two additional bedrooms. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are covered; heating is underfloor central. A private hot tub sits in the garden, with patio seating and a barbecue available if you ask.

The on-site facilities—open between 9am and 9pm—include an indoor heated swimming pool, a games room with a snooker table, and a sauna. There's parking for four cars and a bike store. One small pet is welcome. The property does not permit smoking. Note that the grounds contain a fenced lake and the ground-floor bedroom has steps leading to it.
