Owl Cottage works well for couples or anyone travelling alone who want a quiet base in County Durham. The whole property is yours: a ground-floor living room and kitchen, where you can cook proper meals or simply settle by the wood burner with the smart TV, and a first-floor bedroom with a kingsize bed and bathroom with shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered, plus the initial fuel for the stove.

The cottage sits near Bishop Auckland with walking country on the doorstep. There's on-road parking outside. One pet stays free. No smoking indoors. Arrival is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.
