Groups and families of up to ten will find The Village Hall works well for a self-catering break. This former community building has been converted into a five-bedroom house with three bathrooms spread across three floors. Five cars can park on the property, and one dog stays free. The main living space occupies the ground floor—an open-plan room with a wood burner, dining area and kitchen where you can cook together, plus a smart TV for downtime. Bedrooms range from a super kingsize on the first floor down to smaller rooms and a pull-out bed suitable for children; the lower ground floor holds another kingsize with its own shower room.
The kitchen is equipped to handle group meals: electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave-grill combination. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Outside, an enclosed front garden contains a six-person hot tub and garden furniture. The property is near Durham, close to the Crown & Crossed Swords Hotel. No smoking is permitted, and hen or stag parties are not accepted. There are eight steps in the garden to be aware of.
