West Lodge

West Lodge is a detached cottage at Streatlam Park, near Barnard Castle in County Durham. Everything is on the ground floor: a living room with wood burner and smart TV, a kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge, two bedrooms, and a shower room. The first bedroom has a super kingsize bed, the second has bunk beds. A Jack and Jill arrangement means the shower room opens from both bedrooms. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.

Behind the property is a gravelled patio with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is parking for two cars on site. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The cottage is non-smoking.

Barnard Castle itself—the Norman castle, the market square, independent shops and cafés—is close by. The surrounding countryside is open for walks and exploration. The property suits families, friends travelling together, or anyone wanting a base away from main roads without isolation from the town.
