Fabulous place, so peaceful and great pitches. Lovely walks all around, including into Barnard Castle...you can walk straight from the site.

This is a lovely site, friendly with well kept grounds, easy walk to Barnard castle with nice shops and pubs chippy etc. site bins too far away and the toilets and showers could be better being picky, nothing to put me off staying though.

We have just returned from a weekend at this beautiful site. Located within walking distance from Barnard Castle. We were greeted by a lovely lady who owns the site, it's a working farm so the site is surrounded by spring lambs and acres of open farmland. The pitches are well spaced out with hook up and immaculately kept grounds. There is a toilet and shower block, washing up room - all set in a beautifully converted barn. Showers were piping hot and spotlessly clean. Dogs are welcome but be mindful the owners prefer you to toilet your dogs away from the camping area - which is in everyone's best interests. We didn't have any issues on this site and will definitely go again.

We had about a week on this lovely site in July 2023 and it was fabulous. Very tidy and well laid out and so handy for walking. No need to use the car, the walks lead straight from the site to Barnard Castle, Lartington and beyond. We had a lovely time exploring Teesdale and will certainly use this site again if in the area.
