What visitors say
For a zoo this size, I was so so impressed! The habitats all looked clean but natural with lots of plants, and plenty of hiding spots for animals. The zoo makes it clear their primary focus is the conservation of animals, not entertainment and as someone who has been hesitant about visiting zoos because of concerns about animals welfare, I was really happy visiting here and really impressed. The animals were amazing, I particularly loved the incredible giant tortoises (truly awesome when you see in real life!) and the wallaby with a baby! We will definitely be returning - and will probably get an annual pass! There was also an excellent picnic space with a dozen or so picnic tables under shade (very appreciated as we visited on the hottest day of the year so far!) and a great play area for children of all different ages. My one word of warning would be that the walkways are all gravel covered with some tree roots etc - this was very manageable with a light pram (it wasn't deep gravel so no getting stuck in it!) but might be tricky with some prams and with wheelchairs!

We visited Linton Zoo and had a pleasant, easy-going day out overall. It’s a relatively small, traditional-style zoo rather than a modern large-scale wildlife park, so expectations should be set accordingly. The experience is quite relaxed and straightforward — you can walk around everything at your own pace without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The variety of animals is decent for its size, with a focus on smaller and mid-sized species rather than big safari-style enclosures. The enclosures are simple but functional, and the place has a more old-school, family-run feel compared to more commercial zoos. Staff were friendly and approachable, and it feels like a place that prioritises care and maintenance over flashy presentation. It’s especially well suited for families with younger children or for a short, low-pressure visit rather than a full-day attraction with lots of entertainment layers. Food and facilities are basic but sufficient, nothing fancy. Overall, it’s not a “destination zoo” like the big national parks, but it delivers a calm, accessible wildlife experience and does exactly what it sets out to do.

Beautiful quite zoo in a woodland setting, very very clean, very friendly knowledgeable staff, if we couldnt see an animal the keepers gave us tips and hints as to where they may be, the only animal we didnt see was the very well hidden tiger, the beautiful playful tamarins were the favourite of the day for my son, we stopped to watch them playing for quite a while, the owls and maccaws totally magestic, we watched sleeping lions, a stunning snow leopard a very funny active armadillo, in fact everything was beautiful and amazing to watch and see. we will be coiming back to linton zoo again well worth the very reasonable ticket prices.. oh and the coffee and chips delicious!

It's an Ok place to spend like 1-2 hours around Linton. Since I drive pass the "Linto Zoo" boards everyday wanted to give it a try. Also read the reviews before coming and wasn't really expecting much. After getting the leaflet and the map I realized it's not like a mazzive concrete zoo. But it was a nice and well-maintained park and informative if you are into zoology kinda stuff and you can see some rare species. Nice staff we got the chance to talk with one staff member who talked more details about Kangaroos. Animal enclosures are bigger than usual, therefore you might miss some animals or see them far away from the fences on your 1st round, do one more round then you will see the missed ones. Good amount of car parking space, cleaner toilets, the reception gave us all the information that we needed for the visit. Also to note that if its raining better to wear suitable clothes rather than complaining later. Mixed feeling about the ticket price but I am leaning more towards that it’s fair given how expensive everything atm.
