About Travelodge Cambridge Fourwentways

A cooked breakfast is available each morning at Travelodge Cambridge Fourwentways, and for other meals there's a pub and restaurant close by, along with a Burger King nearby for something quicker. Drinks can also be brought to your room, and the 24 hour reception means arrival times are flexible.

The hotel has 71 rooms across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, and accessible rooms are available. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking is offered, though spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. An electric vehicle charge point is also on site.

Set in Abington on the edge of Cambridge, the hotel is well placed for visiting Granta Park, Duxford Imperial War Museum, and Addenbrooke's Hospital, and its position near the motorway and a petrol station makes it a practical stopover. Rooms are kept clean and staff are generally helpful, though some guests have found the building showing its age and noise carrying between rooms.

The great thing about this hotel is its situation. It's equidistant between London and Norwich. Staff can be a little robotic although every room had a kettle. That instantly opens the door to everything from cup-a-soups to Pot Noodles. Soaps in the shower room however, will withstand at best, one aggressive body scrub. Top tip - bring your own large plate to make the most of the all you can eat breakfast. 3-star.

We paid £114 for one night (Saturday) at this hotel and we were very disappointed - the bathroom really needed a good clean - there was a ring of scum around the plugs in the sink and the bath so I didn’t even use the bath but I settled for a shower - i also felt there was a bad smell all down the corridor - maybe from smoking and in our room it just didn’t feel clean to me - the carpet could have done with an really good hoover.
