Very disappointing experience at East Kilbride Ice Rink. The staff were unwelcoming, the atmosphere was horrible, and the overall environment did not feel friendly or inviting. The facility appeared untidy and not to the standard you would expect. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend visiting.

Went ice skating with the kids. Hired all skates. Had to pre-book, but some space for pay at the door. It was a Sunday, so parking was free. Plenty of spaces. Mixed levels from absolute beginner to 'show-offs'. Kids to older adults. It was fun. Hire skates were comfy but well worn, bring thick socks! There was modern music via a DJ. The ice was smooth to start but well cut up by the end of the 90 min session. Few people used the lockers so bags and coats were draped over the limited seating for a break which was a shame. The floor was wet and not mopped up so at change your socks will get wet. The ceiling is black mouldy and can't be healthy, needs a clean/ replaced. It was well supervised, could do with an induction or how-to video. Temperature was fine for indoor clothes. Overall a great experience.

Booked try curling for my husband, son, friends and family. Jim Morrison was our coach for the 2 hour session. Great instruction...we all were amazed at the progress we made having never tried curling before! Start with basic do's and don'ts, then warm up and it was then next on to the ice. No expensive outlay as stones, sliders etc all provided. All you will need is warm , loose clothing, gloves if preferred and clean soled trainers. We had a great night and no doubt will be back in the future as its given us all a taste for it. We loved it. Thanks Jim Morrison! Give it a try...you'll amaze yourself! Fantastic!

Attended family skating season and all was pretty good. It had staff on the ice to assist and keep all well. The staff fairly friendly. There are lockers, toilets and 4 vending machines (drinks and snacks). There are 5 curling Lanes. Skate hire and session quite pricey. Also had to wait 8 mins to get shoes back as they was not enough staff. There was no queue the shoe guy jumped off to clean the ice for the next session.
