What diners say
Overall good Thai restaurant. I had a lovely experience at Phakoon Thai Restaurant, with friendly, attentive service that made us feel very welcome throughout the afternoon. The standout dish was definitely the Lamb Shank Massaman Curry. The lamb was beautifully cooked, incredibly tender, and packed with flavour. I would highly recommend ordering it. The Morning Glory (listed under a different name on the menu) was also excellent, fresh, perfectly cooked, and one of my favourite dishes of the meal. On the other hand, the Som Tum (papaya salad) was sweeter than I expected. It tasted more like a westernised version than the authentic, punchy salads I’ve enjoyed in Thailand. The Tom Kha was pleasant, but lacked the depth, balance, and aromatic flavour that I usually associate with a great Tom Kha soup. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and there are some genuinely fantastic dishes on the menu. While the food wasn’t quite as authentically Thai as I had hoped, I’d happily return, especially for that outstanding Lamb Shank Massaman Curry.

This is a Thai restaurant I went with my dad, and I can honestly say it's a fantastic Thai restaurant in the heart of Earlsfield. The food is authentically Thai and very flavorful.Tom Yum seafood soup was perfectly spicy and well-balanced, and a generous portion for two people. The fried shrimp cakes with their sweet dipping sauce were delicious and complemented the other dishes perfectly. The stir-fried kale with crispy pork had the exact same level of spiciness and crispness as authentically Thai food. And the stir-fried liver was flavorful and perfectly seasoned, just the way I like it – not too salty at all. The service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and the decor was a stunning blend of traditional Thai and contemporary styles. Thank you for such a wonderful meal!☺️✨

It's a great sign that it's so busy, even on a Wednesday. The food is excellent, some of the best Thai we've had in London. The mixed starter was way better than others we've had elsewhere. The donut prawn cakes were amazing. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
