What visitors say

Lea Griffiths

Lovely park for families, dog walkers and walking. Really nice cafe too. Play areas for kids and little mini road track for kids bikes and scooters. My daughter likes the climbing rocks.

Lovely place to walk or cycle and the bmx and race tracks are great. The cycle classes held for children are so good too. Toilets are ample and clean and also a café but we didn't have anything there.

A nice big park, there's plenty of lovely spaces to go for a walk, ideal for picnics, dog walking, and taking children to play, reason only gave 4 stars is because of the only downside that is the only toilets are in the visitor centre which is only open weekdays, it should be open on weekends to,

We have previously visited from Middlesbrough and enjoyed watching the birds in the hide, very disappointed today to see the hide had not been maintained and no good to attract any birds. We were also disappointed at the cafe which closed at 2pm which we didn’t realise and went in and got takeaway coffees at 1.55pm , my cappuccino was barely warm but hadn’t drunk any until we went outside by which time it was closed so couldn’t get any replacement or reheated.

People say this park offers excellent walking and cycling routes, along with a pump track suitable for BMX and mountain biking. Visitors also highlight the clean and ample restrooms, as well as the convenient on-site cafe.
