Seaton and nearby Beer are working fishing villages with genuine character rather than resort polish. The high street in Beer has independent shops, cafes and pubs; the beach itself is a short walk away. Beachcomber Cottage sits close to the action, recently updated with new windows and furnishings throughout.
The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: two doubles and a twin, plus a bathroom with shower over the bath. Downstairs, the living room has a wood-burning stove and a 45-inch smart TV, while the kitchen-dining room is fully equipped for self-catering, with a dishwasher and washing machine among the essentials. A separate toilet is on the ground floor. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi—are included.
The enclosed back garden is the real asset: hedged and fenced, with a patio, furniture and a sunny aspect from mid-morning onwards. It's particularly good for families with young children or those travelling with a dog. There's a public car park nearby, though at a charge. No smoking inside the property.

What guests say
Lovely charming cottage with great views of the village. Very close to the centre, and the short but steep climb back up the hill to the cottage will keep you very fit.

Handy location in the middle of Beer village. Access might be tricky for some as no parking outside the door and steep access by road and path nearby
