The Penthouse

Exmouth offers everything a seaside break needs: a two-mile sandy beach, water sports, coastal paths, and enough going on to suit families, couples and dog owners alike. The Penthouse sits on the second floor of a contemporary building here, a self-contained apartment with an open plan layout and a private terrace overlooking the Exe Estuary.

Inside, the living, dining and kitchen areas flow together in one bright space, where you can cook properly—electric oven and hob, dishwasher and all the basics are there—and eat as a group. A corner sofa faces the TV; the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has two single beds that zip together. One bathroom with bath and shower. Wifi is included, and there's parking for one car on site. One pet is welcome. The apartment sleeps four and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.

The terrace is the real draw—a quiet spot to sit out between days exploring the estuary walks, the seafront or the town's attractions. Exmouth's compact enough to walk round, busy enough that there's always something happening, close enough to the beach that you won't need the car every day.
