The Piglet

The Piglet is a self-contained first-floor apartment on a 10-acre property in rural East Devon, sleeping two. Everything you need for a self-catering stay is provided: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included in the price. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, combined microwave and grill, and fridge, letting you cook properly rather than just heat up. Parking for one car is on site.

Inside, the open-plan layout combines living and dining areas with a sofa bed and Freeview TV, a separate bedroom with a kingsize bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a heated towel rail and underfloor heating. There's a sitting-out area with garden furniture about 100 yards away, near a small waterfall by the river—good for a quiet drink or meal outdoors. A shared 10-acre grounds means there's space to walk, and a bike store if you bring cycles. The Red Lion Inn is within walking distance, as is the East Devon Way footpath network. Sidmouth's shops and cafés are a short drive, and the Jurassic Coast, Dartmoor and Exmoor are all reachable for day trips. The grounds contain an unfenced river, and no smoking is permitted inside the property.
