Castle Hill House

Sidmouth's red cliffs and shingle beach lie three miles downhill from Castle Hill House, a substantial country property set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty above the village of Sidbury. The house commands views across the valley toward the coast, and its 4-acre grounds include a tennis court, enclosed gardens, and multiple sitting areas. A private drive leads to the property, which has its own parking for six cars.

Inside there are six bedrooms and three bathrooms spread across two floors. The ground floor contains two living spaces—one with a woodburner, one with a second television—plus two dining areas and a utility room alongside the main kitchen. Bedrooms range from a super king to zip-and-link singles; one has an ensuite. The essentials are covered: bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are included, and logs for the woodburner come with your stay. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

The property works for large family groups or friends gathering together, though hen and stag parties are not accepted. One well-behaved pet stays free. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
