The Herdwick Safari Tent

The Herdwick Safari Tent is a canvas structure on the edge of a private lake, combining outdoor living with indoor comfort. The single bedroom sleeps two in a double bed, with a second double on a mezzanine level above the open-plan living space, and two single pull-out futons available for children—up to six guests in total. A roll-top bath sits in the bathroom for soaking after time outdoors.

The tent has electricity, bed linen and towels supplied. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, and there's a barbecue outside. The real draw is the private hot tub overlooking the water and farmland, and free access to the on-site farm park where you can see alpacas, lambs and pigs. A pub lies within a mile. Smoking is not permitted inside.

The property sits near Hertford, with the A10 close by for onward travel. Hertford Castle and its gardens are nearby, as is the Chadwell Way Sculpture Trail running between Hertford, Ware and Great Amwell.
