Granary Lodge works well for couples or small families wanting a self-contained base within the Lincolnshire Wolds. The property is a barn conversion on a 40-acre site near Binbrook, with shared grounds, a communal hot tub and barbecue area, and bike storage. Everything is on the ground floor with level access to the west courtyard where the lodge sits.
Two kingsize bedrooms and one bathroom serve the sleeping space. The open-plan living area includes a kitchen with electric cooking facilities, a dining space and a lounge with Freeview TV and DVD player. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; a travel cot and highchair are available to request. Outside, a patio with seating and garden furniture overlooks the grounds, and there is parking for two cars. The property is no-smoking throughout.
Walking and cycling routes start from the door, with village shops and a pub within reach on foot. Market Rasen racecourse is 7 miles away; Horncastle's antique shops and Louth's Georgian architecture are short drives. Mablethorpe and Skegness beaches are easily accessible for a day trip.

A really great place for a family holiday. The tennis court and fishing lake kept the kids occupied for hours. Renting the gas BBQ also allowed us to have a great sunny evening my our holiday cottage. The village which is a short walk is nice and there are a couple of places to eat but we were happy to cook most nights and eat at the table outside our cottage.

Our third stay at chestnuts cottages, so that tells you something. A group of anglers using Chestnuts as our base for daily visits to the many different ponds and lakes the areas holds, record weights for everyone this year from Hill View Lakes, highly recommended. Oak cottage met all our needs, just a short walk from the village with a good number of pubs for evening meals and entertainment. A selection of takeaways if eating tea in the cottage. I'm looking forward to our 4th visit next year.

We had a lovely little cottage where we stayed. The facilities were just enough for the two of us and our dog. Peaceful, clean tidy, ideal location to Skegness, Chapel and other east coast areas. Local to shops and take away too. Would recommend. Will definitely go back!

Came here for a 2-night break with the family and wish we had booked longer!! There was already so much to do on the farm - seeing the animals, the trail marked out, the games room and the tennis court 🎾 The house was very cosy, there was plenty of space to chill inside and out. The visitors books went back YEARS and the local recommendations were a lovely touch. Every room was clean, with fresh towels and lots of toilet rolls. Only thing to note is nothing is provided so bring toiletries and food, though there are plenty of pots and pans. We brought board games but there was some in a cupboard along with DVDs. Easy to get to, hourly local bus service from the station or 5 minutes drive Couldn't recommend enough for a family, outdoorsy types or animal lovers!
