The Lincolnshire Wolds open up from here. Poachers Hideaway sits on farmland with miles of private footpaths, direct links to the Heritage Bridleway and Viking Way, and straightforward access to public routes across the countryside. Cadwell Park Race Circuit is 4 miles off; Horncastle's antique shops are 5 miles away; Louth, a Georgian market town, lies 9 miles north. Lincoln Cathedral and the Brayford Waterside are half an hour's drive, and Skegness beach about the same distance east.

Bluebell Cottage is a ground-floor property sleeping two in a super king bed. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can cook proper meals. The living and dining space has a smart TV; the bathroom combines bath and shower. A courtyard and rear garden with furniture connect the cottage to the wider grounds, which include a designated dog exercise area and on-site fishing. One car can park privately; bike storage is available. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided. The grounds step down in places and there is a lake 50 yards away. Smoking is not permitted. One pet stays free.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation, with breathtaking views. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in fabulous accommodation, wonderful walks and a stunning setting including fishing lake, then book at Poachers Hideaway. Owners are so welcoming, and are just genuinely lovely. We spent hours sitting overlooking the lake and drinking cocktails. Just perfect, and we haven't slept so well for ages. Short drive to Louth which is a very pretty Georgian market town, with lots of pubs and restaurants. You can also walk to the local pub through the fields.

We had an amazing stay at Poachers Hideaway. We booked the cottages for a family celebration. Angela and Andrew were very accommodating helping us to choose which cottages were the most suitable for our stay. All the cottages had their own character they were clean, well equipped and had large comfy beds. The grounds were beautifully kept with lots of grassy pathways to explore. We all enjoyed getting together again in such beautiful surroundings. Our party included children, adults, grandparents and dogs, everyone found plenty to do. Thank-you Angela and Andrew for making us most welcome.

My family has felt privileged to have really enjoyed four stays here last year. We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Everyone at Flintwood Farm was friendly, thoughtful and couldn’t have done more to ensure the quality of our stay not only met, but exceeded all expectations. The views over the fishing lakes were stunning, with wonderful pathways to exercise our family pet. A successful days fishing allowed my father to rekindle precious memories from his younger years. Celebrating three family birthdays here, staying in very well-presented and clean accommodation, with everything you could possibly need, has given my family many precious magical memories. Having recorded them on video has meant our family can revisit these moments again and again, and keep them for generations to come - irreplaceable! Thank you
