East Lindsey

Poachers Hideaway sits on what was once a farmyard milking parlour, named after the distinctive Juice Trump mound on the farm. The cottage is built on a single level with a ramp approach, making it accessible throughout. The living and dining space opens onto a paved courtyard, with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking and a Smart TV for downtime. Bedroom one has a kingsize bed and bedroom two a double; the bathroom includes a bath and walk-in shower with grab rails.

The 156-acre grounds belong to the wider estate, so there is shared access to gardens with seating and a bike store. You get private parking for two cars and on-site coarse fishing if that appeals. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered. One dog travels free. The cottage does not permit smoking.

The location opens onto miles of private footpaths across the farm, with direct links to the Viking Way and Heritage Bridleway for longer walks across the Lincolnshire Wolds. Horncastle, known for its antique shops, is five miles away. Louth is nine miles; Lincoln and Skegness are both roughly half an hour's drive. A pub and shop are two miles off. Note that the grounds contain steps and a lake sits 50 yards from the property.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation, with breathtaking views. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in fabulous accommodation, wonderful walks and a stunning setting including fishing lake, then book at Poachers Hideaway. Owners are so welcoming, and are just genuinely lovely. We spent hours sitting overlooking the lake and drinking cocktails. Just perfect, and we haven't slept so well for ages. Short drive to Louth which is a very pretty Georgian market town, with lots of pubs and restaurants. You can also walk to the local pub through the fields.

We had an amazing stay at Poachers Hideaway. We booked the cottages for a family celebration. Angela and Andrew were very accommodating helping us to choose which cottages were the most suitable for our stay. All the cottages had their own character they were clean, well equipped and had large comfy beds. The grounds were beautifully kept with lots of grassy pathways to explore. We all enjoyed getting together again in such beautiful surroundings. Our party included children, adults, grandparents and dogs, everyone found plenty to do. Thank-you Angela and Andrew for making us most welcome.

My family has felt privileged to have really enjoyed four stays here last year. We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Everyone at Flintwood Farm was friendly, thoughtful and couldn’t have done more to ensure the quality of our stay not only met, but exceeded all expectations. The views over the fishing lakes were stunning, with wonderful pathways to exercise our family pet. A successful days fishing allowed my father to rekindle precious memories from his younger years. Celebrating three family birthdays here, staying in very well-presented and clean accommodation, with everything you could possibly need, has given my family many precious magical memories. Having recorded them on video has meant our family can revisit these moments again and again, and keep them for generations to come - irreplaceable! Thank you
