St Andrews Church

East Lindsey

St Andrews Church is a sympathetically converted property retaining its architectural character: stone flags in the kitchen, a carved font in the living area, painted ceilings in the bedrooms and the original heavy church door. The building dates from 1770 but stands on a site recorded in the Domesday Book. Everything needed for a week away is provided—the kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine, while oil heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Upstairs, two galleried bedrooms offer a double and two singles; downstairs is an open-plan living space with Freeview TV and woodburner, plus a bathroom with bath and shower. Private parking for two cars sits on site, and a wrap-around garden with seating looks out across the wooded, rural setting.

The Lincolnshire Wolds surround this location, making it suitable for those wanting countryside quiet rather than attractions on the doorstep. Lincoln's Cathedral and Castle lie 25 minutes' drive away; Horncastle with its antique shops and weekly market is closer at 15 minutes. Louth, a Georgian market town with three weekly markets and riverside walks through Hubbards Hills, is about 20 minutes' journey. The east coast—Skegness, Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea and their Blue Flag beaches—is roughly 35 minutes, with Donna Nook seal colony and nature reserves at Gibraltar Point and Frampton within reach. Cadwell Park, hosting motorcycle and car racing, sits 7 miles away. No smoking indoors, please.
