The Shepherds Bothy

East Lindsey

View on Google Maps

The Shepherds Bothy sits on a hillside in the Wolds, where views across the countryside stretch out in all directions. The landscape here lends itself to walking—there's a network of signed footpaths around the village, and the terrain rolls gently enough that you can cover real distance without fighting the terrain. Louth, a Georgian market town, lies 7 miles away; Horncastle with its antique shops is similarly close; and the East coast reaches only 12 miles further on.

The property is a detached former bothy converted for holiday letting, with space for four people across two bedrooms—a double downstairs and two singles upstairs. There's one bathroom with a shower, a living and dining room with a wood burner (logs included), and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Essentials like linen, towels, heating and broadband are covered. Parking for two cars sits on the property, and an enclosed garden with patio and furniture provides outdoor space. No smoking indoors.

One dog is welcome. The nearest shop and a food pub stand about half a mile away. This suits anyone who wants to walk, explore the Wolds at leisure, or use the location as a base for reaching Louth, the cathedral at Lincoln, or the coast.
