Tranent sits in rural East Lothian, where rolling fields stretch toward the Firth of Forth. Forthview Luxury Lodges – Forth Lodge occupies an elevated spot within this quiet village setting, surrounded by the kind of landscape that encourages you to slow down. Historic Faside Estate is nearby, and the area connects easily to walking and cycling routes across the region.
The lodge itself is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom property on a single ground floor. The bedroom has a king-size bed. An open-plan living space brings together a kitchen with electric hob and air fryer, a dining area, and a seating zone with a smart TV. The shower room has a walk-in shower. Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors frame the countryside beyond, and a private sitting area outside lets you watch the landscape change through the day. The detached lodge comes with parking for two cars and a private six-person hot tub – the views from it across the fields are a particular draw.
Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The property is for non-smokers and is not suitable for children under 16. It sleeps two people, and you have sole use of the entire lodge.

Just spent the weekend at Forth View, the lodge was really nice, very clean with everything you need, nice hot tub, and the views are stunning. It’s very peaceful so a good nights kip is guaranteed, and Bridget the owner is a lovely woman. We struggled to get a taxi into the city for a gig through pure lack of preparation, Bridget said jump in the car il take you, completely unexpected and very much appreciated. If you’re up there for a gig you will know what hotels charge for a room for the night in the centre, make it a weekend and stay here instead. You wont be disappointed

Beautiful Lodge, super clean and cozy with an amazing view! Definitely recommend! We stayed 4 nights and had the most wonderful time. We explored Edinburgh and the surrounding area by day (via rental car) and spend the evenings relaxing in the hot tub enjoying the view. Bridget was kind and showed us around when we arrived and gave some good recommendations for activities and restaurants. Would definitely recommend it for relaxing getaways.

Had such a great experience staying here! Lovely host. You have an amazing view from the lodge and hot tub, with horses on the other side of the fence☺️ The lodge itself is well kept, beautifully furnished and plenty of utilities. Such a short distance to shops and nearby towns, with a very short train ride into Edinburgh city! I couldn’t recommend more⭐️
