Small campsite near Filey with level pitches, countryside views and quiet, well-maintained facilities.
About Hayfield Cottage Certificated Site
Hayfield Cottage Certificated Site sits in open countryside near Speeton, between Filey and the North York Moors. The setting delivers the views visitors come for: rolling landscape and sunsets that justify the trip. Pitches are level and well-spaced, giving each pitch breathing room and the sense of genuine separation rather than being parked alongside neighbours.
Facilities are compact but clean and well-kept, with showers and toilets maintained to a high standard. The site itself is quiet, without entertainment or added attractions—that appeals to those seeking a straightforward, peaceful break rather than a busy hub. Staff are on hand and attentive without fuss. The Honey Pot Inn is just up the road for an evening out, and Filey's beach and seafront are within reach for a day trip.

What visitors say
Lovely quiet and very clean site. The surrounding area is naturally beautiful, especially the sunsets. Everything is done the old fashioned way, just like when I first started camping. Sonya was the perfect host, she came to speak to us on arrival and also messaged to say that another pitch was available for us. First class. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic little hidden gem of a campsite. The owners are welcoming, accomodating and make a huge effort to ensure you have everything you could possibly need. The facilities are spotless. Stunning walk into Filey along the beach and The Honey Pot is a great little pub with gorgeous reasonably priced food. Couldn't ask for much more.

Lovely little campsite with very short grass and very level pitches. My sister and I stayed here overnight while walking the coastal path, and it was the perfect place to set up our tents, get clean, and have a nice sleep. Sonya the owner was very friendly, and the facilities were very clean. I will definitely return for a longer stay in the future.
