East Riding of Yorkshire

The East Riding coast sits minutes away from Bluebell, a ground-floor cottage on a working farm. Hornsea's seafront and The Mere nature reserve lie within easy reach, as do the sandy beaches at Mappleton. Further afield, Beverley's Georgian architecture and Hull's cultural attractions—including The Deep aquarium—make good day trips. The surrounding countryside rolls into the Yorkshire Wolds, with walking and cycling routes threading through the area.
Inside, Bluebell is arranged on a single level with an open-plan living space, kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, and a wet room with walk-in shower, grab rail and adjustable toilet seat. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One small dog stays free. The cottage sits within 10 acres of shared grounds where farmyard animals live—goats, pigs, sheep, ponies, donkeys and poultry—and there is a designated dog walk. A patio with garden furniture overlooks the grounds, and private parking for two cars is provided. The property does not permit smoking. An unfenced lake lies 200 yards away in the grounds.

Me and my family have just enjoyed our 3rd holiday in Primrose cottage and loved it, again. We even brought my parents, who stayed in Cowslip cottage and they have enjoyed it just as much. The whole site is lovely and peaceful. I love sitting by the lake and my kids love the football pitch and animals, and they even cried when we had to come home. The owners Liz & Dave are just so lovely and welcoming. They have created such a wonderful place to switch off from the world and make amazing memories. If i was planning on getting married, i would absolutely have it here, it must be so magical. However, i will just have to look forward to booking another holiday next year.

What an amazing campsite. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. They had covered everything from a nice area to walk the dogs and the lake with its own beach. 10/10

Lovely little farm, with a few cottages, an area for campers, a lake with a couple of boats, farm animals, play area for small children and football goals for any age. The hosts were very welcoming and happy to chat and tell you about the animals. A very quiet and peaceful area, even with the odd donkey 🫏 or horse noises. I stayed in the Hayloft so had the added extra of the hot tub, which was fab and private with screening up. 2 beaches are close by mappleton and Hornsea and a tiny shopping village, would definitely recommend x
