Mappleton Sands is a short walk away, and Hornsea with its lake and boat hire sits 4 miles south. The Yorkshire Wolds countryside spreads inland, while Hull's aquarium and Beverley's minster are within reach for a day out. This converted hayloft occupies one corner of a 10-acre working farm where sheep, goats, donkeys and ponies graze in the fields around you.
The cottage is yours alone: a single bedroom with a French bed and an en-suite bath, plus a ground-floor open-plan space where the kitchen, dining and living areas flow together. You get a smart TV, electric cooker and hob, washing machine, and everything needed to cook and eat properly. Essentials like heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. Outside, a hot tub sits on the enclosed patio, and the wider grounds offer marked dog walks if you've brought a pet. Parking is available for two cars; a bike store is on site. The 10 acres contain a lake 200 yards away, unfenced. No smoking indoors.
Nearby pubs operate in New Ellerby and Withernwick villages; the closest shop is 4 miles off. Check-in is after 4.30pm and checkout before 10am.

Me and my family have just enjoyed our 3rd holiday in Primrose cottage and loved it, again. We even brought my parents, who stayed in Cowslip cottage and they have enjoyed it just as much. The whole site is lovely and peaceful. I love sitting by the lake and my kids love the football pitch and animals, and they even cried when we had to come home. The owners Liz & Dave are just so lovely and welcoming. They have created such a wonderful place to switch off from the world and make amazing memories. If i was planning on getting married, i would absolutely have it here, it must be so magical. However, i will just have to look forward to booking another holiday next year.

What an amazing campsite. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. They had covered everything from a nice area to walk the dogs and the lake with its own beach. 10/10

Lovely little farm, with a few cottages, an area for campers, a lake with a couple of boats, farm animals, play area for small children and football goals for any age. The hosts were very welcoming and happy to chat and tell you about the animals. A very quiet and peaceful area, even with the odd donkey 🫏 or horse noises. I stayed in the Hayloft so had the added extra of the hot tub, which was fab and private with screening up. 2 beaches are close by mappleton and Hornsea and a tiny shopping village, would definitely recommend x
