Clapham Holme Farm Cottages - Primrose

East Riding of Yorkshire

Primrose is a three-bedroom cottage set within ten acres of farmland a few miles from Hull. The property sleeps five across a double, two singles, and a single bedroom, with one bathroom combining bath and shower. You get the whole place to yourself—there's a ground-floor open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas, plus a garden with seating and a barbecue. Parking is provided for two cars on site.

The farm setting means farmyard animals—goats, pigs, sheep, ponies, donkeys and poultry—are part of the landscape here. Dogs stay free and there's a designated walk in the grounds. A lake sits 200 yards away. The coast is close enough for a trip: Mappleton Sands is nearby for beach walks, and Hornsea is a short drive, home to The Mere for birdwatching and boat hire. Beverley, with its minster and racecourse, is also within reach, as is The Deep aquarium in Hull city centre. Inland, the Yorkshire Wolds lie further afield. WiFi, bed linen, towels and heating are included. The property does not permit smoking.

Me and my family have just enjoyed our 3rd holiday in Primrose cottage and loved it, again. We even brought my parents, who stayed in Cowslip cottage and they have enjoyed it just as much. The whole site is lovely and peaceful. I love sitting by the lake and my kids love the football pitch and animals, and they even cried when we had to come home. The owners Liz & Dave are just so lovely and welcoming. They have created such a wonderful place to switch off from the world and make amazing memories. If i was planning on getting married, i would absolutely have it here, it must be so magical. However, i will just have to look forward to booking another holiday next year.

What an amazing campsite. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. They had covered everything from a nice area to walk the dogs and the lake with its own beach. 10/10

Lovely little farm, with a few cottages, an area for campers, a lake with a couple of boats, farm animals, play area for small children and football goals for any age. The hosts were very welcoming and happy to chat and tell you about the animals. A very quiet and peaceful area, even with the odd donkey 🫏 or horse noises. I stayed in the Hayloft so had the added extra of the hot tub, which was fab and private with screening up. 2 beaches are close by mappleton and Hornsea and a tiny shopping village, would definitely recommend x
