East Riding of Yorkshire

The East Riding coast around Hull offers everything from sandy beaches to nature reserves, and Snowdrop Cottage sits on the edge of this landscape. Set within 10 acres of working farmland, the cottage gives you a proper escape—you'll see goats, pigs, sheep, ponies, donkeys and poultry going about their day, and there's a designated route if you want to walk a dog through the grounds. The whole property is yours alone, with private parking for two cars.
Inside, two bedrooms sleep four: one double and two singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Downstairs is open plan—a living space with Freeview TV and DVD player, a dining area, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine and fridge-freezer. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all included. There's a sitting-out area with garden furniture, and you can use the shared barbecue and picnic tables in the grounds. A bike store is on site. No smoking inside.
Mappleton Sands is close enough for a beach day, and Hornsea with its lake and boat hire is four miles away. Beverley, Burton Agnes, Sewerby Hall and The Deep aquarium in Hull are all within reach. The nearest shop is four miles off; pubs in New Ellerby and Withernwick are your closest options. One thing to know: there's an unfenced lake 200 yards from the cottage.

Me and my family have just enjoyed our 3rd holiday in Primrose cottage and loved it, again. We even brought my parents, who stayed in Cowslip cottage and they have enjoyed it just as much. The whole site is lovely and peaceful. I love sitting by the lake and my kids love the football pitch and animals, and they even cried when we had to come home. The owners Liz & Dave are just so lovely and welcoming. They have created such a wonderful place to switch off from the world and make amazing memories. If i was planning on getting married, i would absolutely have it here, it must be so magical. However, i will just have to look forward to booking another holiday next year.

What an amazing campsite. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. They had covered everything from a nice area to walk the dogs and the lake with its own beach. 10/10

Lovely little farm, with a few cottages, an area for campers, a lake with a couple of boats, farm animals, play area for small children and football goals for any age. The hosts were very welcoming and happy to chat and tell you about the animals. A very quiet and peaceful area, even with the odd donkey 🫏 or horse noises. I stayed in the Hayloft so had the added extra of the hot tub, which was fab and private with screening up. 2 beaches are close by mappleton and Hornsea and a tiny shopping village, would definitely recommend x
