The cottage we stayed in (Old Mill Cottage) was absolutely perfect for us. Lovely and spacious, very comfortable beds, sizable dining table and a fantastic kitchen. It was great for the dogs too, very nice place to stay if you have four legged friends with you. If we're in the area again we will look to stay here!

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere which for us was fantastic. Incredibly peaceful place and a peaceful nights sleep. Very comfortable beds in the room and a wonderful views over the wolds. The building is old, but I don't mind that at all. You can maybe hear the guests in the room next to you, but thankfully ours we're very good and we only heard the tv in the morning. The owners were really nice and couldn't do enough for me and my wife. They even waited up for us to come back before locking up for the night. If I'm ever up in Yorkshire again, I'd happily stay here.

Third visit this year. Always a friendly welcome. Customer service above and beyond this weekend. This B&B does NOT do food at the weekends. I was asked of I'd like a takeawsy Chinese. Brilliant. Rooms a decent size and clean. Breakfast is always a treat. Thoroughly recommend.
