Ramsor Farm - Jacob’s Barn

The Peak District's footpaths start on the doorstep of Ramsor Farm, where Jacob's Barn is one of three converted sandstone barns. Rural enough to feel away from it all, the location is still within reach of Ashbourne's shops and cafés, and a short drive from both Alton Towers and the walking trails around Dovedale. A pub sits within a mile.
The barn has a galleried bedroom upstairs with a double bed, and an open-plan ground floor combining kitchen, dining and living space. The kitchen is fitted to cook properly if you want to; there's a shower room and parking for two cars on site. An enclosed courtyard at the front has garden furniture. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and wifi are all covered. One dog stays free.
This suits couples or solo travellers looking for walks rather than attractions, though families heading to the theme park will find it convenient enough. No smoking indoors.

In the peak district, it was nice and peaceful and close to so many fantastic places to visit, whether it's alton Towers or fantastic country walks and lovely villages and towns.

Lovely location, clean overall and cozy. We went with our dog and it was very easy to settle in and relax. Some nice waking routes and Lovely area to drive around. Not a lot of options to eat out locally if you would rather not cook.
