This former fisherman's cottage sits on Aldeburgh's high street with a contemporary interior that preserves its traditional character. Two bedrooms and one bathroom occupy the ground and first floors; steep stairs connect them. Downstairs holds the living room with an open fire, plus a kitchen and dining space that flows through to a courtyard shared with neighbouring properties. Upstairs, the main bedroom has an ensuite toilet and hand basin, while the smaller second bedroom contains bunk beds. A parking permit for the church car park opposite is included.
You get all essentials: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, with gas hob and electric oven; a dishwasher and washing machine are on hand. Initial logs for the fire come with the booking. A travel cot is available if needed. One dog stays free. The cottage does not permit smoking.
Aldeburgh's high street is lined with restaurants, pubs and independent shops. The beach is a two-minute walk away, where fresh fish is sold from huts along the sand, and the iconic scallop shell sculpture marks the seafront. The Suffolk Heritage Coast and walking trails are immediate. Inland, Snape Maltings hosts a year-round music programme. The location falls within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
