One of the best guest houses we’ve ever stayed in. Rooms had everything you could want and were quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was outstanding both mornings, and Fiona and James were very attentive to any bespoke culinary requests. You felt like they really cared about giving you the best experience possible. I hardly ever write reviews but had to for this place, it was THAT good!

A very warm, friendly welcome from James and Fiona to their bright, clean, cheerfully decorated and well positioned B&B, right on the seafront. Room was very comfortable and quiet, with enough space for us to relax in after finishing a long distance walk! Bathroom small but served its purpose well, with hot water at good pressure in the shower. Breakfast had plenty of choices, fresh and high quality ingredients, and was very well cooked. Would highly recommend a stay if looking for accommodation in Eastbourne.

My fiancée, 5 year old daughter and I stayed for a night in Bay Lodge Guest House on a mini-break in Eastbourne. Two factors that influenced our decision to stay there were the room layout (our daughter could sleep in an interconnected room in complete safety) and also that my need for gluten free food could be accommodated. Free parking was also very welcome! We had an absolutely first class stay - everything from the warm welcome when we arrived, to the beautiful clean rooms, comfortable beds and superbly cooked breakfast, was exactly what we needed to make our stay in Eastbourne hugely enjoyable. Fiona and James were also really kind to our daughter, making a real fuss of her which made a world of difference for her as a little person away from her home. We really look forward to returning some time soon as we love Eastbourne and loved staying at Bay Lodge.
