About East Beach Hotel
Step into a room at East Beach Hotel and the first thing you'll likely notice is the view: many rooms look straight out over the sea, and all come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in the room, and free WiFi. Family rooms are available for those travelling with children, and a lift makes reaching upper floors straightforward. It's worth noting that a small number of past guests have reported bedbugs, so it's fair to flag alongside the otherwise clean and comfortable impression most rooms give.
Downstairs, the hotel has its own restaurant and bar, with outdoor seating for warmer days, and breakfast is generously served each morning. Staff are on hand around the clock at 24 hour reception, and practical extras include laundry service and luggage storage. Pets are welcome, too.
The address on Royal Parade puts guests within easy walking distance of Eastbourne's pier and town centre, with pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby. Golf, fishing, watersports, cycling and walking routes are all close at hand for those wanting to make the most of the East Sussex coast.

A beautiful hotel! So glad we chose this one, it’s immaculate, spacious and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We had an executive room, with ample space, sofa, refrigerator, and a huge bathroom. The view was stunning. My son is Autistic and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay a comfortable one. They allowed me to use their freezer to store my sons Icepacks and turned music off for breakfast as my son is extra sensitive to noise. These little things made a massive difference. A big thank you to all the staff!

We have just spent 2 wonderful days at the East Beach Hotel and all we can say is we would definitely come back. Situated close to the pier to be easily walkable, it was just far enough away to be quiet, even in the front rooms we occupied. The breakfast was wonderful, the rooms beautiful and the staff could not do enough for us -James and his team looked after our every need. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Eastbourne.

I’m writing this almost two weeks later because I wanted to think it through properly. We rented a room for one night. It was supposed to be our Easter seaside getaway. The room itself was very nice, had everything we needed, plus a beautiful sea view. After checking out, we spent some time on the beach and then returned to London. That evening, while taking a shower, I noticed loads of bites all over my body (photos attached). I didn’t sleep all night because it was so itchy. Work the next day was torture. I was scratching myself like a little child. After three days, some of the bites became larger and felt hot. I wrote to the hotel, but the standard response was that since no other guests had reported anything, it wasn’t the hotel’s fault. I’d like to point out that I’m not allergic to anything (food, pollen, etc.). I’m convinced that something bit me during the night in the hotel bedding. After two weeks, the bumps finally went away, but I swear they lasted for over a week. I’d also like to add that I’ve often stayed in hotels of a much lower standard, but something like this has never happened to me before in all my years of travelling. I’m writing this as a warning for others.
