This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Our room had a fantastic sea-front view, which made the stay even more special. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the modern designer bathroom was both stylish and well-appointed. The hotel also provided a parking permit for on-street parking, which was a real convenience. Despite its great location, the room was impressively soundproof, ensuring a peaceful and relaxing night's sleep. One improvement as with all similar hotels without an elevator is to provide a Stair Climber Sack Truck, so it is easier to bring the suitcases up the staircases. They are available at the usual superstores and hardware stores. Customers can use the equipment at their own risk. Note! The team member on reception did kindly offer to take my suitcase up to the third floor but I declined, I felt I should do it and didn't want to injure them for my heavy packing! A wonderful hotel with excellent service, great facilities, and an outstanding location. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We were initially drawn to this hotel as it stood out amongst the others and looked to offer something unique in Eastbourne. We came for breakfast to celebrate a birthday and called ahead of time to book the reservation. Although we were not staying at the hotel, the booking was accepted. The menu presented to us was different than what was advertised on the website but we proceeded to order. The menu of drinks was somewhat minimal. We ordered food and it took close to an hour. When we asked how long it would take (I am pregnant and was very hungry) we were told they only had one chef and they didn't normally allow external customers to eat here (we were at no point told this). After waiting a very long time, we decided to leave without eating here. There was no offer on a discount of drinks and generally the service is lacking. I was really disappointed as I had hopes for the hotel however it didn't measure up.

We were looking for a luxury hotel with sea view and this came out as one of the highest rated. On most booking websites the family room was ~£215 per night for Mon-Tue of Easter weekend. When we arrived it was clear from the many prompts received via email to download some app that they prefer not to have anyone at the hotel to meet you - this was not what I wanted for £215 per night so I didn’t use the app. The greeting was brief as we were informed that nobody would be at the property in the morning, so breakfast was not an option. When we got the key to the family room we were informed that it was in the basement (what would once have been the servants’ quarters). This was not clear in the description. There was no view of the sea and it was a very cold, room and not in any way high end. Everything about the hotel reeks of style over substance - very much a jumped up Airbnb masquerading as a hotel. There must be many other high end properties hotels in the area.

We had a really delightful stay in a cabin room at the Port Hotel over Christmas. The room was super stylish and I loved the aesthetics, even if it meant the bathroom sink was tiny :) The small touches meant a great deal including excellent tea bags in the room, Faith in Nature products in the bathroom and Who Gives a Crap toilet roll. There was a window we could open to get some sea air and the room was very quiet. We were pleasantly surprised by the shower pressure so high up. Be aware there is no lift so we were climbing at least 5 flights of stairs but it's a good workout! The restaurant was also excellent. We really appreciated the locally sourced products including Longman and Gun brewery beer, as well as local gins. The breakfast was great and hearty with unlimited coffee! The staff and customer service was wonderful too. Super helpful and accommodating. It's quite difficult to find a hotel along the seafront which is affordable and with an updated, stylish aesthetic. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we'll definitely be back.
