About Premier Inn Eastbourne

A restaurant and bar on site mean guests at Premier Inn Eastbourne can settle in for the evening without going far, and breakfast is included as part of the stay, though it can be hit and miss when the hotel is busy. Drinks can also be brought straight to the room, a small touch that suits anyone after a long day walking the Downs or the seafront.

The hotel has 47 rooms across three floors, served by a lift, with en-suite bathrooms and accessible rooms available. Guests consistently find them clean, spacious and warm, with comfortable beds, and the staff are described as friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Free on-site parking is provided at the front of the hotel, a genuine convenience given the coastal location.

Eastbourne's seafront and the South Downs are both within easy reach, and the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment, along with a good spread of pubs and restaurants nearby. Reception is staffed around the clock, making it a straightforward base for exploring the coast or the countryside beyond.

The hotel itself is what you expect from a Premier Inn, rooms are standard, if not a little worn but the beds and staff are comfortable. However, the one star rating is for the breakfast. It is appalling. One morning the breakfast was mediocre, but as its plated and not a buffet, its not that warm when it reaches you..but at least the kitchen could remove the yolk from the egg. The next morning, the 'chef' wasn't able to do it. Imagine a breakfast chef that cant separate a yolk. Go to Polegate - newer, refreshed and an in-house kitchen that can cook.

Friendly staff and good local amenities. Transport links are good too. The staff Clare and Sarah and Michael will do anything for you and are an asset to the company

The room still had sticky handprints on the walls when we arrived. I personally had an allergic reaction to something (maybe dust) when I'd settle down to try and sleep. The arranged full englsih breakfast at the mill opposite wasn't pleasant, flavourless eggs, gristly sausages. Very much enjoyed the continental. On our second morning we ventured out for food as all of us weren't dining there again.

The food although it tasted good, was ruined when a small piece of plastic and some paper was found in my granddaughters meal. Despite mentioning it we didn't even get an apology. The room was large and comfortable the only gripe was the TV that decided to switch itself on twice during the night! I'm not one to whine, but thought these issues need to be mentioned. I would also have told the receptionist about the TV when we left, but nobody was at the desk!
