What guests say
I had such a lovely stay at Travelodge Eastbourne Willingdon Drove and I genuinely can’t fault the experience, especially when it comes to the staff. From the moment I arrived, the team were incredibly welcoming, friendly and professional. Nothing felt like too much trouble for them. Every interaction was met with a smile and a willingness to help, which made a huge difference and really set the tone for my stay. What stood out the most was how attentive and caring the staff were. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable and that I had everything I needed. It didn’t feel like standard customer service, it felt personal and genuine, which is quite rare these days. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and exactly what you’d want for a relaxing stay, but it’s truly the staff that make this place special. Their positive attitude and dedication to guests really shines through. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. A big thank you to the whole team for making my stay so enjoyable.

Just recently stayed at this Travel lodge. Location was good for the station, Morrisons and a Toby Carvery which was great for meals. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The rooms are in need of updating, which is due to commence in September.

I’ve stayed at quite a few Travelodges over the years, and unfortunately this one feels tired and in need of modernisation. The hallway carpets are particularly worn, though the carpets in the rooms are in slightly better condition. First impressions of the room were fairly positive – it was clean and reasonably modern, although some of the furniture felt a little dated. It was just the two of us, yet we were given a very small room containing a double bed and two single beds, which made the space feel cramped and oddly arranged. The room itself was warm and cosy, and the bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were provided as usual, which was good. However, the TV was small and positioned on the desk rather than mounted on the wall, and it was noticeably very dirty behind it. The bathroom could definitely do with attention. The shower curtain is discoloured at the bottom and needs replacing. The flooring around the toilet is stained and looks worn, and the shower head doesn’t fit properly in its fixing, making it difficult to position. The water temperature is also somewhat limited. You do get used to the quirks, and we did ultimately have a comfortable stay. However, for the money, I expected better overall. There is a Toby Carvery on site just across the car park and this is its saving grace. ( Although service is slow) the food was decent and well priced. It is also worth noting that there is no lift.

Stopped for one night. The room was clean. All the facilities worked well. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was large and ideal for our needs. There is a Toby Carvery next door so food and drink within a short walk. We will stay here again.
