A straightforward seafront-area hotel in Eastbourne, well suited to travellers who want an easy base near the beach and South Downs.
About Regent Hotel
Regent Hotel suits visitors after a simple, no-fuss stay close to the sea rather than a destination in itself. Based at 3 Cavendish Place in Eastbourne, it puts guests within easy reach of the beach and the South Downs National Park, making it a practical choice for walkers, cyclists, or anyone using the town as a base for exploring the coast and countryside beyond.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and options for families, with breakfast served on site to set guests up for the day. A 24 hour reception adds convenience for those arriving late or heading out early, and free WiFi is included throughout for guests who want to stay connected.
Outside the hotel, Eastbourne offers plenty to fill the time, with golf, fishing and watersports all nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach. Cycling and walking routes are on the doorstep too, making it a fair fit for active breaks as much as quieter seaside stays.
What guests say
The person who met us and showed us to our rooms couldnt have been more helpful. He was very attentive and welcoming. The room was nice, but it was very hot and stuffy during the night which made it hard to sleep. The window didnt open so it felt quite airless on the top floor.

Great location, comfortable bed, really good shower. The furniture was a bit dated and a bit rough around the edges in parts, but otherwise excellent value.

Had 3 nights here. Very attentive host, room was clean and tidy, fantastic shower, tea and coffee supplied, and a very welcome fan in the room. Being 60 seconds from the beach, and only 10 minutes walk into the town centre, you really can't complain. You simply will not get anything close to this within the same price range. I'll certainly book here again

Host was so lovely and very helpful. We'd brought our bags in early and he brought them upstairs for us. The bed was very comfortable and TV very accessible. Shower was relaxing and heating was perfect. A lovely night's stay and slept very well.
