About The Queens Hotel Eastbourne
The Queens occupies arguably the single best position on Eastbourne's seafront, directly facing the pier at the point where the promenade, gardens and town centre all meet. Its turreted Victorian exterior is one of the seafront's landmarks, and the location alone accounts for much of its popularity with repeat visitors.
Bedrooms are traditionally furnished, with sea-view rooms looking straight down the pier, and the hotel includes a small spa and pool used mainly by hotel guests rather than day visitors. Its restaurant and lounge both make use of the sea views, and the hotel's central position means the shops on Terminus Road and the Towner gallery are both a short walk away.
As one of the more affordable full-service hotels on the seafront, The Queens attracts a broad mix of couples, older travellers and those visiting for events at Devonshire Park, and its position opposite the pier makes it especially popular during the summer illuminations and the Airbourne airshow.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night. On the positive side, the room was spacious and comfortable, and having on-site parking was a definite plus. Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by the rude behavior of the staff. First, when we returned to the hotel in the evening, we wanted to briefly look at one of the event halls. We were approached by a man who didn’t introduce himself and wasn't wearing an ID badge. In a very unprofessional manner, he demanded to see our room key, asked if we were actually guests, how many nights we were staying, and bluntly told us we weren't allowed there. The worst part happened the next morning. At 9:00 AM, someone knocked on our door. Before we even had a chance to answer, the door opened and a housekeeper walked right in. She claimed she was just checking if the room was empty. When I pointed out that it was only 9:00 AM, she raised her voice, pointed to her watch, and said check-out was at 11:00 AM. I replied, "Exactly, it's 11:00 AM, and it's not 11:00 yet!" Instead of apologizing, she started talking back until we simply told her to leave and close the door. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of basic manners and zero apologies from the staff is unacceptable. I cannot recommend a place that treats its guests with such disrespect.

Just got back after a fabulous week here. I cannot fault anything! The rooms are spacious and clean. Lovely comfortable bed. Staff all friendly and happy to help,meals good and the waiter was incredibly good. I shall definitely be going back.

It's hard to criticize as I paid only £70 for a single room including parking and breakfast. Great value! Plenty of parking space (I suspect this is because most of the guests are on coach trips). Breakfast was nothing special but OK. As expected the hotel is faded grandeur, and has steps everywhere, but it was clean, the bed, bedding and towels were fine, and the shower excellent. No aircon, though.

Treated like a second class citizen, We booked room 513-15/7/2006 We went down to breakfast only to be told coach trips come first..‘didn’t you see the sign’, no we didn’t!!! Rooms are outdated lifts broken, and staff clearly over worked..The cleaning staff were lovely.poor breakfast experience.
