About Willenhall Way

Tucked just a field away from the Welsh border, this family-run park near Ellesmere delivers exactly what its reputation promises: generously sized pitches, spotless facilities, and a genuinely peaceful atmosphere. The immaculate shower block—built on the site of a former piggery—features separate ladies' and gents' facilities plus accessible options, while the covered verandah by the caravan office provides a communal spot to unwind with views across the Shropshire countryside.

Families appreciate the leisure area with swings, a watch mound, and quirky calf igloos that double as dens on rainy days, plus murals dotted around the site for kids to discover. Dogs are especially well catered for, with a dedicated shower to tackle muddy paws after walks leading straight into the surrounding hills, plus a secure exercise area. Circular routes of varying lengths radiate from the park, while the Shropshire Union Canal towpath offers gentler strolls. A resident artist even holds occasional classes for guests. Though the site can feel a touch quiet for those seeking nightlife, that's precisely the draw for most visitors here.

We absolutely loved this site, everything was perfect! Clean facilities, lots of space between pitches with flexibility to choose your own spot. Lin was very knowledgeable and helpful and Rog accommodated us with a slightly later arrival time. We completed one of the walks from the website. It’s a really nice touch to have these to share as we enjoy our walks. We will definitely be back again to try another walk and enjoy the absolute peace and nature!

We booked willenhall way after seen someone post reviews after we booked we was very skeptical! I’m so glad we went through with the booking this is an amazing little campsite! Not one piece of rubbish insight. Grass cut cute little ice cream counter inside the shop! Host are so lovely kind and polite and the pitches are massive. It’s been so quiet and relaxing here and I would deffo be back they deserve the rating they have on pitch up. They also have tree swing and and toys to play with in the kids section including bikes swings and slides. The showers we immaculate and it’s proper shows not those push button ones. My partner also said the male facilities we also the same which we all know sometimes isn’t the case! I don’t ever right reviews but I feel this one is deserved after some of the bad rap they have had posted in this group! Don’t be worried book we’ve loved our time here and will 100% be back with the rest of the family! For all the bird loves there is also baby and mommy tawny owls onsite! We beautiful greenery and flower beds with nice little hand written signs I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about the whole site. Is the best campsite we’ve found and we are going to make this our regular it’s hard to tick all the boxes with young children in finding a campsite which is also reasonable priced. Look forward to coming again!!

Our absolute favourite campsite to visit with the kids ! The perfect hosts. The campsite is spacious, family friendly, facilities are always clean. Plenty of space for the kids to run around in the park, game changer! Ice cream available. Nearby towns well worth a visit. This site never disappoints, we’ve returned year on year!

We’re a family of five with a dog, and Willenhall Way Caravan Park in Welshampton has become one of our absolute favourite places to be. We’ve been sitied here for the past three years, and every single visit has been just as enjoyable as the last. What keeps bringing us back is the space and peaceful atmosphere. The pitches are really generous, so we never feel cramped, and the kids have plenty of room to play safely. It’s such a relaxing setting, surrounded by countryside, and it’s perfect for unwinding as a family. The facilities are always spotless, and showers are always warm, which makes a huge difference when you’re staying with children. Everything is really well looked after, and you can tell the owners take a lot of pride in the site. Speaking of the owners, Lin & Rog are genuinely some of the nicest people we’ve met. They’re always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with anything, which gives the whole place a really warm, personal feel. It’s also brilliant for our dog — there are great walks nearby and the site is very dog-friendly, which makes travelling so much easier for us. And we have to mention the ice cream — it’s absolutely delicious and always a treat during our stay! They even serve doggy ice cream 🐾 Overall, we couldn’t be happier with Willenhall Way. After three years, it still feels like a special little getaway for our family, and we always look forward to coming back.
