What visitors say
Really cheap, good selection of animals that look healthy and well looked after. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wallaby walk was great and wallaby keeper had great interaction with our teenager. Will definitely return.

We visited the zoo yesterday and spent a couple of lovely hours looking around, we went as a group of 4 with one member of our party as a wheelchair user. The site was very accessible for a wheelchair user and we had no problem seeing all of the animals. Not a huge zoo but I think that adds to its charm, lovely way to spend a couple of hours in the sunshine.

Absolutely fantastic place, well signed, easy to find, free large car park, great staff happy to chat and smile, love how they employ the students from the adjacent college. All the animals are happy and well cared for, for example a Bush dog has lost some fur which some may have been concerned to see, a notice was there to say it has a skin condition and what treatment it receives. We attended 2 adults 4 children all had a fantastic time, if there was a pet experience for guinea pig/rabbits the children would have loved that. 2nd visiting and will be back. PS. Tickets are available on other sites for example days out.co.uk but we found paying at the entrance cheaper and the whole amount goes direct to the zoo. There are kiosks around for snacks which are normally priced (no rip offs) for example ice lolly £1 meal deal £6 great for families.PS. Well done on the wooden benches plenty around and very well made.

Had a pleasant afternoon at this small zoo and also enjoyed a look round Kirkley Hall's walled garden. A small but interesting collection of animals, birds, reptiles and aquatics in the zoo and many different plants, shrubs and herbs in the garden. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff were available to answer any questions and/or give directions.
