The Bothy House sits on the edge of a working farm surrounded by 200 acres of mixed woodland, with Ponteland's shops and restaurants within easy reach. This two-bedroom property gives you a whole acre of grounds to yourself, with garden furniture and a barbecue, plus a wood burner for cooler evenings. The location makes it genuinely rural while keeping you close enough to explore what Northumberland has to offer without lengthy drives.
The layout splits across two floors. Downstairs is an open-plan living space with a dining area and a wood-burning stove, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. One double bedroom with an ensuite shower is also on this floor. Upstairs, a galleried sitting room (without a television, if peace is the point) sits alongside a second bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom complete with a roll-top bath. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, and there's enough parking on site for multiple cars. No smoking inside the property.
The surrounding farmland is accessible for exploration, making this feel like genuine countryside living rather than a manicured holiday spot. The Bothy House sleeps four and works equally well for two couples or a family, though it's not suitable for smoking guests.
