About Albert Arms

Food and drink sit at the heart of the Albert Arms, a hotel on the High Street in Esher, Surrey, with a restaurant and bar serving guests alongside kids' meals for families passing through. Breakfast is included for those staying over, and drinks can be brought straight to the room for a quieter evening in.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and free WiFi, with 24 hour reception on hand whatever time you arrive or need something sorted. It's a straightforward, comfortable base rather than a destination in itself, with the emphasis on ease and convenience.

The High Street location puts other pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach, along with entertainment nearby and a golf course for those wanting to fill a day. It works well as a stop for exploring Esher and the surrounding area without needing to travel far for a meal or a drink.

Went to The Albert following a friend's recommendation that the food was good there. It was later in the afternoon but we still decided to have Sunday roast. The Porchetta was very disappointing, especially the crackling which was soggy. The pork itself was ok but perhaps it would have been better (and fresher) earlier in the afternoon. The cauliflower cheese was somewhat dry, certainly didn't seem fresh at all. Chicken wings also not that appetising. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly so couldn't fault that at all. Just really disappointed with the very average food as it's a lovely pub in a good location with a great atmosphere.

Booked a table for 730 pm on a Tuesday night dinner and left at 10 pm There were 3 of us for dinner out. The food was great and the wine and friends but the owner or staff had the premier ship football on all night on Sky so loud at decibels so high we couldn’t have a conversation. Really awful ! they turned volumes up for their Regulars who clearly dominate the pub. Whilst we know it’s a pub not a restaurant it would be great if we were told about their huge Tv when I made the phone booking a week ago. Disappointed!

Had an absolutely incredible roast sharer for 2 - porchetta, lamp rump, pigs in blankets, sirloin of beef, roast potatoes & carrots, amazing gravy and the most flavoursome stuffing balls I’ve ever had. I usually find a roast out doesn’t beat one cooked at home, but this hit different. Lovely pub, friendly staff and all round great vibe. Can’t recommend enough

They serve a decent pint of Pride, also had decent ‘Cruz’ lager on previous visits, close enough to Sandown Park Racecourse, and also any other delights of Esher High Street!
