A Brilliant afternoon out. Our little ones loved it. A decent sized park. The regular min train service is great, has a carriage for big bag/ pram goes from the car park to the lovely splash zone & playground / lake, perfect for our little one. It was a hot day and the fair was there too, super busy! Best book the splash play in advance. The cafe food was good and theres plenty of shady grassy spots by trees around to pop a mat down & have a rest.

We visited during the mini heatwave, and sadly the train wasn't running as it only operates at weekends. That was a little disappointing, especially when you're carrying everything you need for a family picnic. That said, the splash park was fantastic! The children absolutely loved it, it was clean, and they had an amazing time cooling off. We didn't get a chance to explore the boats on this visit, but we did spend some time in the playground afterwards. Although we were disappointed that the train wasn't running, we still had a lovely day out and would definitely visit again.

Amazing little line. Lovely volunteers, beautiful locos and I was allowed to have a go on one of them! Would highly recommend for those with children and enthusiasts! I will be joining the team!

my son loves this railway; it is very affordable and the volunteer staff are great. We visit often and went for the 40th gala today, he had a brilliant time and loves riding in trains pulled by all the different engines
